NOTABLE WOMEN

Proverbs 32:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."
When quoting this scripture, most people think the word virtuous means only moral purity, but she is much more. There are many such notable women in the Bible and even in our modern day, there are Notable Women of Worth.
Ruth was a virtuous woman. She stayed close to Naomi, with true love and a desire to bless, help, protect, and care for her mother-in-law. She refused to take the easy route home to Moab, but rather chose the long journey to Israel where she faced a different culture, and she adapted to a new way of life. Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge, thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God," Ruth 1:16 Mary, the mother of Jesus was most Notable, Luke 1:28 says "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou art highly favored, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women." "The virtuous women has strength of character and honor woven into the fabric of her person." Dorcas was a member of the community of disciples in Joppa. She was a woman full of good works. (Acts 9:36) She extended her hands to the poor and the needy, and sewed coats and garments for the widows in her church and community. Then another Notable Lady was Lydia, a business woman a seller of purple (Acts 16:14). She also opened up her home to the missionaries Paul and Silas after they had been in prison
Last, but not least, I want to give honor to a modern day Notable Woman. My dear Mother, Minnie Kinsfather. Her birthday, May 13th falls on Mother's Day this year and she will be 93 years old. What a beautiful example she is of a virtuous lady! She raised 4 children, was a pastors wife for 30 years, she baked more meals for preachers, evangelist, and missionaries than most women could ever think of, and just last Sunday, she still was cooking her delicious pot roast for our church Pot Luck Dinner. Even though she is in pain in her body, she still comes to church every service, and she's an encouragement to all of us, and has her own greeting card ministry still. I could never say enough about her and how much I love her! "Her children arise up, and call her blessed." Prov. 31:28
(I Love You Mom, You are the most Notable and Honorable of all !!!!)

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers with my love,
Pastor Joyce Dool
