In the day and age we are living in now, the world is trying to distort
the meaning of True Love between a man and a woman. In the beginning,
"The Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make
him a help meet for him" (Gen. 2:18 KJV). The NIV says "I will make a
helper suitable for him". So God made woman and brought her unto the man,
Gen. 2:22. Other than the Love of God for all of us, there is nothing
more beautiful than the love shared between a man and a woman, then seeing
children born out of that marriage and the love of a family as they
enjoy life together.
In the month of February, everyone's thoughts turn toward love, valentines
with hearts, special candy and gifts for your special Sweetheart. You
should remember that special one in your life. However, one of the best
gifts of all is to give our WHOLE HEART to the Lord, for His love never changes.
One of the great kings of Israel, King David, was a man after God's own
heart. Many of the Psalms David wrote were about the heart, He said in
Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer."
David wrote about praising and seeking the Lord with his whole heart.
"I will praise thee, O Lord, with my Whole Heart; I will shew forth
all thy marvelous works, Psalm 9:1
.
God has given everything to us. "God sent His only begotten Son into the
world, that we might live through him" 1 John 4:9. Then in Romans 5:5
it says, "the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us." In other words, God has poured out His Love
into our hearts by His Holy Spirit. He stands with open arms waiting
for us to give Him our all! God's love and His Word never changes.
Heb. 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever."
