About the Pastor

Pastor Dool
Rev. Joyce Kinsfather Dool was born into a Minister's home in New Braunfels, Texas, and has a wonderful Christian Heritage . Her father, the late Rev. Amel Kinsfather, and her mother, Minnie Kinsfather, who is now the eldest member of Greater Life UPC, were the best parents, teachers, and examples of Christian living. Her Grandfather the late Rev. John Daniel Kinsfather, moved to New Braunfels in 1938, and founded and built the first United Pentecostal Church. He pastored here in New Braunfels for 10 years, and moved to take another church in Bowling, Tx. Then Rev. Amel & Minnie Kinsfather took the church and pastored 30 years. However, that original church was later destroyed. Several years passed before the Lord sent a granddaughter and son-in-law to start all over to rebuild on that Heritage.

Joyce Dool married Rev. E. N. Jack Dool on January 7, 1984 and they had a great ministry together for 25 years. She worked along beside Rev. Jack Dool to build from the ground up two churches. They first moved to Karnes City, Texas, built a church there and pastored for 11 years, then moved to New Braunfels, started all over again and founded the Greater Life UPC church here 14 years ago. There is so much history and wonderful blessings of the Lord to tell and this is just a very brief summary. Most of all, we give honor and glory to God!

After the passing away of Rev. Jack Dool this year in April, it has been a great transition for Greater Life Church members and Joyce Dool. She states that it never crossed her mind to be a pastor. However, working in the active ministry for 25 years in every area, teaching, preaching, secretarial/ bookkeeping, music director, visitations, weddings and funerals, etc. has certainly given her the experience. She feels very honored by God and the members of Greater Life Church. Pastor Joyce Dool is a licensed Minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.
